- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪No one enjoys going to the dentist, but if you need a root canal it seems like an even bigger worry. I have had 3 root canals in my life, and the last two were done by Dr. John T. Evans in Valencia, CA. He was very willing to explain everything, and he answered all my questions about the need for the procedure. I have a very sensitive gag reflex, but I never gagged even once with either procedure. He uses a flexible shield to protect your throat from swallowing anything as he works, and that means no need for the constant spraying and suctioning of a normal dentist visit.
